Experience radial engined romance! The Nanchang CJ-6A has become a "not so well kept secret" and is the most popular piston warbird trainer on the market today. It really was just a matter of time before this beautifully designed aircraft began receiving the recognition it so richly deserves. With out a doubt the CJ is the best bang for the buck aircraft on the warbird trainer market today. The CJ combines all the nostalgia of "round sound" with superb handling qualities, great looks, stout build, respectable cruise speed (180 mph), low fuel burn (14 gph in cruise), good range (up to 500+ nm with our aux tanks) and comfortable cockpits. Continuing the Worldwide Warbirds Inc. commitment to delivering top quality aircraft, all of our overhauled aircraft receive an unprecedented refurbishment in China (details...new browser) before arriving at our facility for final assembly and detail work (details). Dollar for dollar, these aircraft are unmatched in performance, ease of use, fun, and value.

When CJ-6's started entering the country several years ago, most of the aircraft were simply reassembled out of their shipping crates, made airworthy, and flown in original condition. Over time the bar has continually been raised and today there are many examples that rival the finest restorations of US warbirds such as the T-6 and T-34. The unfortunate problems with both of the afore mentioned aircraft have elevated the stature of the CJ-6A even further. Equal or better performance combined with lower acquisition and operating costs than its US counterparts, the "Chang" is the only major primary warbird trainer on the market without costly and time consuming Airworthiness Directives.
